Jean B. Breza, Director of the University

Children's Chorus, holds degrees from the

University of Michigan.  She has completed

extensive post-graduate work in voice, music literacy and choral music education. Ms. Breza completed Level III in Choral Music Experience and also in Orff-Schulwerk.  She taught music at St. Andrews Elementary School where she was 1996-97 Teacher of the Year.  Ms.Breza was the Director of the Charleston Children's Chorus, which she founded in the fall of 1995.  She was also Assistant Director of Music at St. Philip's Episcopal Church in Charleston, SC where she continues to serve as a staff singer and as an assistant in the children's choir program.  Ms. Breza is a member of two professional music organizations: American Choral Director's Association and Music Educators National Conference. She is also currently president of the Charleston Music Club.
